At present, the issue of human aging has obtained increasing space on the agendas of discussions and studies. This paper discusses this phenomenon from the perspective of the worker's aging that, outside the means of production, is regarded as a social problem. This view is reinforced when the discussion turns to public health since the guilt for the problems of the policy is attributed to the elderly. Thus, a bibliographic research is carried out to seek for a better understanding of this issue.
