General introduction to the sociolinguistics study. Language as a social fact in the meaning that it is a conventional system acquired by individuals in social contact or a social phenomenon of verbal interaction. Language as a distinctive element of a people communication presenting linguistics varieties, that is, geographical and social varieties historical, social and culturally determined. Its ideological importance in the process of teaching foreign languages as a social adjustment factor.
