Are studied the floristical composition and fitossociological structures of a fragment of Mixed Ombrofila Forest in the municipal district of Sertão, RS, with approximate area of 700 ha. The structural analysis detaches the Araucaria angustifolia as dominant species, mainly in the periphery of the fragment presenting a number relatively smaller of individuals inside the forest. In the sub forest and in places where the Araucaria angustifolia is not present, the species Nectandra sp and Ocotea sp, are that present larger number of individuals and larger basal area.
