The São Paulo State comes involving with the renewable energy subject for more than 20 years. And the field experience obtained with photovoltaic rural electrification reveals successful projects, but also many other that have failed. The list of the concrete causes, common to other sections of the rural development, shows a lack of specific education and training programmes. Take into account the lessons from past the IEE jointly with SEE comes offering technical support in particular to the PRODEEM activities of photovoltaic rural electrification that are being executed in the State. This partnership seeks to diffuse the photovoltaic technology through the municipality technicians' training. For this goal a pilot school, electrified with photovoltaic system was built. That besides supporting the concrete actions of PRODEEM, it objectifies to qualify installation teams, to develop local training and to reproduce the experience in three agricultural technical schools.
