Most use of PV is the off grid connected systems like homes (solar home systems), water pump, etc. The countryside becomes, in turn, a natural niche to use of PV systems to generate electricity. The purpose of this paper is to show the PV alternative to electric energy generation, regarding the insolation levels to Estado de São Paulo. The study was done with a PV system with batteries and loads that simulate the home' s energy consumption. To size the PV system was used the insolation data to city of Campinas from the Centro de Ensino e Pesquisa em Agricultura - Cepagri/UNICAMP and the collected data were analysed for one year.
