This paper proposes a mathematical model that permits the analysis and comparison of the costs of unconventional conductors used in low voltage rural electrical installations. Through these analyses, it was demonstrated that in the majority of the situations, the estimated costs of the low voltage in rural electrical installations, when unconvenventional conductors are used, is higher than those obtained with the utilization of conventional conductors.
