This study presents a biomass fast pyrolysis techno-economical assessment. As an inovative biomass thermochemical conversion process the fast pyrolysis is able to produce high value products from agrindustrial residues such as cane trash and bagasse. The main product in this process is the bio-oil. Fast pyrolysis is the opposite of carbonization. It has short residence time for the vapors inside the reactor, and yields about 75 wt% of bio-oil (as a liquid fraction). Bio-oil form fast pyrolysis biomass is a renewable raw material that may replace the diesel and fuel oil to generate electricity.
