The present work starts from a proposal to be implemented in settlements and rural communities, that broaches concepts about the biomass energy through the implementation of a maintainable technology, that are the rural biodigestors. This technology with agroecological foundations allied to the concept of Ecopedagogy, together with an education proposal based in ethical and philosophical beginnings, sights to reach an environmental and educational sustainability, inside the community's reality, where it should be implemented. This work begins presenting the historical problem of the use of the energy in the formation process of the human civilization, making a comparison among the manners of capitalist and socialist production on the energy focus. It is shown the energy potential of the biomass placing the importance of Latin America and of Brazil in matter in this historical context. After an explanation about what comes to be a maintainable education, it is presented the pedagogic and political beginnings of the MST, because it will be through this movement, the present proposal of the work will be rendered.
