The residues of the cassava production in Pará generate 2,6 Mton/ano and they can be taken advantage of for the generation of electric energy for the agricultural areas of the State. Considering the calorific power of the foliage residue evaporates like 15,76 MJ/kg and the one of another residues as 12,55 MJ/kg, the State of Pará offers biomassa potential to generate about 11 TWh/year or 873x10³ tep/year, providing the maintainable development of the areas producing of the State, providing clean development, and assisting to the approaches of MDL.
