This paper shows the implementation of a further insight in the knowledge of rotating field with two voltages applied to a generically implemented two-phase to neutral electrical machine. This work presents a symmetrical V connected two-phase induction motor with windings displaced by π/3 electrical degrees in space and 2π/3 electrical degrees in time in a phase-phase-neutral system. Some of the interesting features of this machine are to present torque other than zero at starting condition and to behave like an ordinary three-phase induction motor. In Brazil most of the residential consumers have two-phase and neutral wires only. In this sense the industry could be interested in providing a machine that runs smoothly through the use of this type of connection. The mathematical development is of course well known for the three-phase machine, but also explains that is possible to build a two-phase symmetrical motor relatively to the neutral.
