The objective of this work is to determinate a susceptible regulation to interact with the electrical energy use (regulation as energy resource), where as case of application (studying case) the area of Medium Paranapanema - MPP - is used, and the methodology used was the Integrated Planning of Resources - IPR, that consisted of establishment of a database for characterization of resources (in regulation) and, the formation of an energy resources gamut of regulation, for a period planning of 10 years. This was, as result, several regulation character elements considered like energy resources were identified, selected four for application in the area: the energy sources diversification, the tariff, the energy efficiency and the distributed generation. A energy potential of 228273 MWh for an established demand of 294956 MWh , in the 10 years horizon, was obtained. So, we ended that the regulation is an energy resource when planning area the satisfaction of future energy needs of a certain area, and the dynamism is your more essential characteristic.
