Biodiesel production in the World is getting higher every year since its begging in industrial scale since 1996. The implementation of the brazilian national program has started in 2005 and the expectation is to substitute 2% of diesel total consumption for biodiesel until 2008. On the other side, the Millenium Development Goals, established in 2000 by UN as a key to global development and poverty reduction pointed 8 main targets to be achieved until 2015 related improve human conditions and ways to sustainable development of poor and developing countries. This work gives some relations between the Goals and Brazilian national policy for the implementation of biodiesel in the energetic matrix with some of the points of Millenium Development Goals program and its official recommendations by the UN reports associated.
