In the slaughterhouses the procedures have been accomplished unchain since ante-mortem until the storage of the end are intensely dependents of the electrical energy and responsible for the final product quality. The study of the size related to the consumption of electrical energy and the associated cost of this energy in the stages of the slaughter they are important not only for the entrepreneur but also for the final consumer. This way, aiming at to accomplish a preliminary diagnosis in relation to the use of the electric power was measured values of the main electric greatness of the transformers of the slaughterhouse to know preliminary inside the use of this energy of the establishment. Later, in the continuation of this work, detailed and complemented studies will be accomplished in the several processes aiming at to diagnose, to analyze and to propose solutions to lead to the rational use of the electric power, without interfering, or to maintain, the quality of the final product in the lines of production of the poultry slaughterhouse, including the storage process that uses of chambers of cooling and freezing.
