This study aims at investigating the ideas of dissident psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich associated to the theme of preventing neurosis through childhood education. Contrary to Freud, who after some initial disposition at it no longer credited the preventive potential of education, Reich, throughout his work, never ceased treading the paths of this investigation. Two main orientations of this author's preventive project have been dealt with: a) the conception of neurosis as a mass disease produced by a determinate sociocultural context; b) the focus in the sexual domain of childhood education.
