This paper proposes to contemplate the school as a guardian of the interval that exists between words and the things they designate, discussing the place of this interval considered as a motor of any knowledge production that deserves to be called human. The school is understood as an agent with a task of extreme complexity: promote the construction and appropriation of knowledge and, at the same time, emphasize its impossibility to replicate the world that it seeks to embrace, in this manner, placing the responsibility of the individual in foreground. Highlighting the fictional structure of all truth (Lacan, 1959-60), the conveyance that is important for the school to achieve will be seen impregnated by an ethical thought strongly woven to the responsibility for the world that knowledge invents without, at least, dominating the conditions of this creation.

Keywords : conveying; ethics; experience.
