With a view to the importance of effective communication, nursing professionals must be able to interpret different messages and communicate properly. This study arms to evaluate the communicative effectiveness between the nursing staff and the family of newborn children at the neonatal ICU. The sample included 10 mothers. Data collection was based on interviews with the mothers of the newborn children.
