Abstract

RAMIN, Célia Souza de Araújo and SOLER, Zaida Aurora Sperli Geraldes. Focus on sexuality teaching in a nursing undergraduation course. In Proceedings of the 8. This descriptive study focuses on sexuality teaching in a nursing graduation course. The teachers’opinion in relation to their ability and the way they approach the subject was analyzed. Ten teachers participated in the study, who deal with 7 subjects related to sexuality. It is verified that the ministered subjects are insufficient with respect to the focus on the anatomical-pathological and health-damaging aspects, which does not allow for further reflection on the ethical and emotional aspects. Thus, the otained results, which were presented to the course coordinator, must be of assistance in proposals for restructuring the subject matters with a view to interdisciplinariness and the broadest and most effective approach of this subject.

Keywords : nursing; education; sexuality.
