We live in a society where prevailing values refer to heterosexual bonds and repression of homosexuality. These limits often lead to a hypocritical behavior in which the concept of equal citizens, although fiercely defended in people’s discourse, is forgotten in practice. Thus, this investigation aimed to seek theoretical foundations for defining, situating and describing Homosexuality - particularly in its male expression. What methodology is concerned, a bibliographic research was carried out in the first half of 1998, covering sources that were formally issued in the period 1970-96. In the results, the human being is emphasized as a Social Being, and sexuality is regarded as a Social Right, rejecting certain limits. However, we know that violent behavior emerges from repression, which compromises the quality of life of individuals and the community. The consideration of this issue requires an attitude of respect from families, schools and all areas of society alike, allowing human beings to fully live their sexuality.
