By investigating the presence of stereotypes related to the nursing profession and how these can hinder communication with clients, this work aimed at making a bibliographic review of the reflections about this theme as well as discussions regarding its origin, with a view to seeking theoretical concepts that allow for a critical analysis of the profession and its History.
