Considering that the World Wide Web (Internet) disseminates the most advanced communication strategies, this work aimed at describing the creation and evaluation of an educational website concerning the movements of abed patients, designed on the basis of Ergonomic principles and aimed at instrumentalizing nursing students and professionals for the use of this technical procedure. The excellent results achieved through the evaluation of the website hosted at http://eerp.usp.br/projetos/movpac and its utilization by more than four thousand users reveal that information technologies can and must be used more frequently for nursing teaching and research activities.
