This work addresses an educational game for orientation of mothers of pre-term babies with a view to hospital discharge. The game content is based on the needs expressed by four mothers of pre-term babies and two neonatal nurses concerning relevant themes for this training. The presented themes were grouped into: family relationship, food, general care and special care. The game comprises a colored board with a route consisting of pictures (26 cells); 80 cards containing questions related to the themes; two dice and colored markers representing each player (four to twelve, pairs can be formed). During the game dynamics, each participant draws a card and, if they answer the question correctly, they move forward on the board as many cells as the sum of points obtained in throwing dice. The player(s) who reach(es) the end of the route first is/are the winner(s). Participation of other mothers is encouraged in order to complete the answers to the formulated questions, thus ensuring that the answers arise from the group and that experience is exchanged. This didactic and pedagogical material facilitates nurse-client communication and turns the learning-teaching process more dynamic.
