This text analyzes the epistemologia that bases the social pedagogia of the Axé Project in the perspective of the social representations of its educators. For in such a way, it used as research instrument the Free Association of Palavras (ALP) with 30 educators and the interview half-structuralized with 13 educators of whom they had answered the ALP, as well as 2 pedagogical supervisors. The data had been analyzed, respectively, for Software EVOC2000 and analysis of content. The results show that the anchorage and objetivação of the possible social representation of the educators in relation to the epistemológica base this in the referencial of Pablo Freire in resignificada way.
