Abstract

The present text is originary of a question: How much a theater work, produced by teenagers, could be meaningful and instructive in a school environment? The work tells how 32 students of a public school and a private school ( both located in Campinas - SP) experienced and understood the process of how to develop a creation of a play, that they named as " Adole Sendo ". Focusing on theater as an educational intervention, through a pleasure educational process of art education, the use of theater language, entertainment and of a phenomenological conception about education, the main aim was to build an autonomy, valuing their own words. The work was developed in a democratic way, and values as esthetic, ethic and human were strongly presented. It also promoted an interaction, reflection and action demonstrated by the students behavior during the work. Theoretical contributions in the art and education (theater games), were done by authors as V.Spolin and R. Courteney, H. Read. A. Rezende and P. Freire were very expressive in educational field, as well as A. Bosi, E. Morin and J. Huizinga in the philosophy area; it was also valuable the contributions of G. Gusdorf. O.Paz, F. Dolto, S. Antonio and I. Bordelois in the language arts field. All these authors made the work richer in the scientific aspect. In according to audience and students words, the results were over expectations, there was no difference in the theatrical performance; both: students of the public and private schools worked in a pleasant and friendly way, sharing everything. The project showed that it is possible to get new meanings and re meanings in a world which life and education need to be meaningful for all.
