The research that is now presenting as a starting point to perform a survey to understand and criticize the reality of the Brazilian social security law in the school environment. For this, we first build a foundational knowledge of the social right to security in their historical framework, legal and philosophical, and to do it, it was necessary to apply such law in the context of a democratic state, so we present, briefly, theories about the origin of the state, its historical and philosophical training and face the challenge of definition of the term, thus enabling a discussion of the social security law inscribed in the Brazilian constitution. Tour the references about the theory of state and social security law in Brazil, we demarcate the theoretical about the violence, insecurity and prevention in the school environment. We start by making a distinction between violence and aggression and then present violence in a cut to contemplate the physical violence, psychological and structural, for then we can construct a concept of violence that could address all these modalities. Defined the concept of violence we now classify violence at school and made into three categories: school violence, school violence and school violence. Done this, we present the theoretical concepts that seek to explain why a school becomes violent and insecure, using Durkheim, Abramovay, Sposito, Candau and Debarbieux this journey and making the option to think about violence and safety in the school environment from the Diagrammatic Theory of Juvenile Violence Debarbieux Eric and Catherine Blaya. Subsequently, we analyze survey data on violence in schools and the media reported cases of violence, trying to analyze the vulnerability of those involved and the limitations of government actions from this theory.
