This is a research outline developed between 2009 and 2011, in the ambience of the Graduate Program in Education and the Contemporary UNEB. This study chooses the young as a subject, qualitative research methodology as a guide and training policy as a strategic challenge. Given the high rates of young Brazilians fulfilling educational measures, it is important to investigate and discuss the teaching in schools located in inpatient units, a right of young people under the Child and Adolescent (Law 8.069/90). This communication discusses the screen educational experiences of teachers and teachers who work in youth deprived of their freedom and take the CASE in Salvador (the Foundation for Support of Children and Adolescents in Bahia) and the Foundation House in Sao Paulo (in the formal school the unit for young people) as empirical research fields. Based on the assumptions of qualitative research using narratives with teachers and teachers of Salvador and São Paulo, the case study assumes a perspective contrastativa and elects major theoretical categories: social pedagogy and sociology of youth. The present study examined the relationship between violence, youth cultures and school in order to better understand the ways and proposals for youth in socio-cultural situation of social vulnerability. It was evident in the study the need for a policy of training for teachers and teachers who work in this segment, given the challenge of emancipating youth in a situation of deprivation of liberty.
