Abstract

This article presents reflections on the field of social and educational policies in Brazil, focusing on the educator's training to work in non-school policies through training of education professionals, in this case, the National Curriculum Guidelines for pedagogy courses, degree, legitimized in 2006. It also proposes to address the policy context within different educational theories, pointing to the role of the state, with regard to education, aiming at understanding the organization of educational policies, initiating discussion within the presentation of the concepts of public and social policies, point of view of some theoretical concepts and historical context facing education within a social practice, held in non-school.
