Abstract

This work, carried through by means of revision of the specialized bibliography, had for objective to proceed to the survey of the resources that the Fisioterapy makes use for the treatment of women with câncer of breast submitted to the mastectomy. As research methodology, exploratories studs in the área of the Medicine for better knowledge of the breast câncer, its sintomatology had been made, etiology and morphology; in the área of Nursing, for better agreement os the possible complications after-mastectomy, and in the área of Fisioterapy specifically, for identification of the resources, description of the procedures, avantajes and disadvantages and contraoindications in its application. The interes for the thematic one IF justifies for being the câncer of breast one of the neoplasis illnesses that represents serious problem of public health, afetem, to each year, about nine million people in the whole world, of which approximately five million evolves for the death, acordem to World-Wilde Organization of Health. The quarrel of  the subject, made on the basis of some outhors, Brazilians and Foreigner, allowed to identify the fisioterapeutics applications satisfactorily, allowing to arrive at the conclusion of that Fisioterapy can play na extremely excellent function in the recovery of auto esteem and of the quality of life of mastectomized women.
