This article will discuss the concept of Popular Education, which bases the social role of educators in which are inserted in different educational contexts: approach homeless, prisoners, rural education, adult literacy, advocacy, among others . The intention is to reflect the close relationship between the liberating education and popular education as social practice which is capable of transforming the people and the contexts in which they operate. Expose the essential elements of a political activity which develops in different contexts.
