Resumo

The study investigates the trajectory of Dona Arlete and her professional socialization as a countryside educator. Part of the problem involves the contryside environment as a space of abandonment and lack of public policies in the formation and valorization of professionals. Departing from Gramsc's approach, the study reshapes the debate in the perspective of organic intellectual as a culture organizer. The educator's memory is reconstructed from photographic images in the  education  processes and insertion in the educational field. In order to do that the photograph is used as mediation (Ciavatta), with use of bibliographical research, interviews and videos with the subjects of the research to triangulate the data. This study enables the observation of the omission of the State in the educational policies for teachers relegating this task to the subjects to produce their education and maintain the contryside as a peripheral space in social investments. The study identifies the intellectual organic and the countryside school as part of the struggles for life and dignity, in special highlighting the collective construction and sharing of knowledge.
