The present article is to critically analyze educational practices aimed at children and adolescents received institutionally, turning later to a proposition of the establishment of these institutions as educational spaces possible to promote the real development of children and adolescents. Guaranteed by the Act as a protective measure spaces and understood as workers, these institutions have the need for a reordering teaching and, therefore, the educational project stands out as a possible instrument for reasons guid and their practices. Thus, this paper aims to present the specificity of the pedagogical project (common in areas of formal education) to the host institutions that guide the practice of social education.
