I present ideas for guiding a research on the participation of youth in socio communitarian educational practices, highlighting the cities of Americana, Santa Barbara d'Oeste, Nova Odessa and Sumaré, in Metropolitan Region of Campinas/Brazil. Among these ideas, with regard to youth, the concepts of social moratorium, generation and vita moratorium, from Margulis and Urresti. Still on youth, the dialectic of modern and contemporary youth, focusing her historic, collective, multiple and conflicting character. Sociocommunitarian Education is defined: educational interventions that seek to mobilize communities to promote transformations in society. The "hypotheses" to guide that research highlights the limits of such interventions in high schools and the contradictions of the projects and actions "out of school". In these contradictions: poor youngsters seen as "social dangerous" and quasi-compulsory "volunteers" labor for this youth.
