The original text is part of doctoral research that has the problem Social Educator: teacher employed? The search is in progress in the Programme of Postgraduate Studies in Social Sciences, the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC / SP). Discusses the integration of the social educator in schools from the education reform of 90 years. Aims to point out developments in popular education and the professionalization of social work as an educator teaching. Examines the perception that the Social Educators who work in schools has to their profession.
