This article aims to characterize the families of children and adolescents on the street, through the Family Service (APS), the Municipality of Jundiaí. This group is basically formed by families of children or adolescents who roam the streets of the city center in search of a way of "generating income", is selling candy, asking or even begging at traffic lights. Faced with this situation of social risk, through the idea and practice of child labor, we realized the need to better understand who these children and their families. Despite the advances proposed in the Welfare System (ITS), the situation of children and adolescents in street situation remains a challenge with the technicians in ensuring the rights of children and adolescents, and corresponding to this social work service with their families. So no need better understand this reality on the complexity and understanding of various social policies. Finally, the direct work with children on the streets and later with their respective families held directly by educators, both require a characterization of these families who are, for the possible indicators related to context-related living conditions, education, housing , family composition, work and lack of rights. Regarding the possible need for an intersectoral service proposed by the Office of Special Protection - through the medium complexity PAEFI. (Service protection and specialized care to individuals and families).
