This text shows a perspective differentiated on social movements, the relationships established through social networks that can be characterized as a new social phenomenon of mass and, in certain aspects of circulation, as a popular movement. We may notice behavioral changes on the technological advancement and communication among thousands of people interacting in different classes as an educational tool and as mobilization of popular education. Computer and technological processes, social networks, somehow provide freedom of communication and can influence the struggle of an organized society, especially in the organization of knowledge and action planning and leadership. Currently identify themselves in events, conferences and social movements, debates on the so-called social networking especially related to the field of pedagogy of the oppressed, popular education and social pedagogy. Social networks in academia identify as functionality, different ways to search for theoretical definitions of concepts and construction providing productions of cultural and historic diversity. So to bring to the debate social movements in the frame of social networks, this IV CIPS, we emphasize the role of the social educator in front of the class struggle appropriating a new tool in facing the challenges to building citizenship interconnected by information technology and communications.
