The general objective of this research is to analyze Brazilian policy for adoption of children through interviews and interactions with some adopting families and experts who work in the adoption field, outlining the evolution course of the process by changing the legal system. Seeking through the stories searched both how the process was developed as well as the singularity of each case. The research focuses especially on the issue of adoption in Brazil, It proposes a qualitative, oral history methodology, based on personal depositions taken from people involved in the movement of adoption, the ones who are part of my living: 4 (four) cases in São Paulo, SP, and 1 (one) in Alpinópolis, MG, plus 5 (five) experts working in adoption field of São Paulo city, SP. Interviews will be conducted, the results will be submitted to content analysis which will involve description and discussion. All research will comply with methodological principles and grounding (theoretical and practical) of Educational Psychology. It has a starting point in ECA (Child and Adolescent Statute) and Law No. 12010 of August 3rd, 2009, which rules for adoption and changed the legal provisions still in effect on Brazil in 2009. All these changes comprise a development on the issue of adoption in Brazil giving its process a new format - the adoption as a way of de-institutionalization of children, assuring them of the conditions for exercising their right to love, to acceptance, to personal attention and similar, aiming at developing good relationships and social behaviors that are provided by balanced family and fair living. Besides, adoption offers conditions for many people to achieve the dream of raising a family, being fathers and mothers and, foremost, adoption provides for children the condition of, not only being offspring, but also having family life.
