Search the manifestations of Gypsy culture is always an ambitious undertaking, since it constitutes a practical polysemic, which brings different possibilities of interpretation, while considered exotic, artistic, religious, and other settings. This article seeks to focus on only one aspect: the body as a gypsy social construction that, in expressing yourself, memories agency. Gypsies, unit complex ethnic mosaic. Rhythms, images. Materiality and significance. The body produces Gypsy and carries meaning, source of meaning. In his classic about the physical techniques, Marcel Mauss (1974) teaches us that the body should be thought at one time as meaning, tool, agent and object: it is at the same time, the original instrument with which the human shape your world and the original substance from which the world and culture are shaped. So, for him, the whole body language is learned, bearing in mind his concern to demonstrate the interdependence between what he calls the physical domain, psychosocial, social and cultural. Its main contribution is perhaps the demonstration that the human body can never be found in a supposed "natural state". It is the body that the raw material and culture are shaped and inscribed. In societies unwritten, such as the Roma, there is only the body, functioning as a book or an album, the skin as a scroll on which is inscribed a story, a memory, a cry, a hope. What else would the costumes and body paintings in rituals that do not print the cry of the bodies of the community? The colors of the party, pain, hope: the languages corpo.Objetiva with this work is how the marks work as a gypsy dresses. In their bodies undoubtedly are registered trademarks visual, sometimes using fantasy and symbolism, seek to mirror its history and ancestry. For centuries, Gypsies left India, but still keeps in their costumes to perpetuate this memory. The body is a strong representation gypsy who never ceases to find new ways to express themselves, new languages, new values and ideas, so that the more it seems to be something else, much more is repeating itself.
