This article discusses the possibility of approximation between some elements of school education in the field of Social Education. This possibility is based on the analysis of an educational experience developed in the municipal school system Taboão da Serra, São Paulo metropolitan region. This situation suggests the role of professional in different scope of the school because the teacher leaves the school and goes home territory, since visiting teachers the main action of the program. Front of differentiated performance of these professionals, this article aims to show to which reassure  this experience can be related to the elements present in the practices in Social Education, focusing on the comparison of the teacher with the social educator. The analysis presented are based in a dissertation, which as methodology approach of qualitative data, since it is based in the study of relationships and human perceptions. It was conducted documentary research, bibliographic and field, highlighting the importance of the reports by professors, in later periods to visit, as the main source of information for analysis effect. At the end of the investigation, some features have been identified, these being understood as emerging from the experience and those who visited their students, which may be related to Social Education, especially in comparison of the characteristics aroused in teachers with the necessary characteristics to the practices of educators social. So, in the perspective of the practices of these teachers, visitors can find elements of Social Education, which promotes the approach of the educators indicating an area of dialogue between the School Education and Social Education.
