Abstract

Curso de Verão (Summer Course) is a popular education program, directed to church communities' lead and popular motions, which completed 25 years of existence on January, 2012. Directed to social science, theological, biblical and pastoral formation, it has the following traits: it's popular, ecumenical, massive, and task force made. This text presents the dimension of this task force and the popular education methodology that permeates the course, and aim at demonstrating that the collective creation of knowledge, based on the popular education methodology, make it possible to face challenges as the art incorporation, volunteers' and, above all else, monitors' formation, the young public, new technologies and the mystique of Curso de Verão.
