For the student's first contact with the room acoustics concepts, more accessible resources should be used. The article relates the development steps of an acoustic parameters measurement system for an engineering graduation project. It consists of a computer equipped with a stereo soundboard, two microphones, a mixer, a power amplifier, an omnidirectional soundsource (according to the ISO 3382 standard) and a subwoofer. The software used was the Aurora, as extension (plug-in) of CoolEdit (now Adobe Audition), using swept sine signals.
