The sonority chalumeau, clarino and intermediary of a clarinet is investigated empirically. A Factorial Design of Experiments was used as an important tool of analysis. In this paper the attention is on the effect of several factors (independent variables) on the intensity and frequency of the sound produced. As a secondary result we have investigated the existence of interactions between the factors.
