The subjective quality of an instrument is related to certain physical properties that are different for each manufactured instrument. In this paper is analyzed for an acoustic guitar one important property in this subject, the radiation pattern, that means how the sound propagate when distancing from the instrument depending on the bands of frequencies reached. The technique used is the Nearfield Acoustic Holography. To do this, values of the acoustical pressure are obtained in a matrix of points chosen along the guitar, and for some values of natural frequencies the respective graphics are plotted.
