The main propose was studying the FracWave method for digital sound synthesis. This method is applied to produce musical sounds with a complex spectrum and a dynamic sound behavior. Non-linear maps are used to control the sound synthesis based on a list of parameters and a graphic analysis of the phase-space map representation. In this sense, mathematical modeling focused on sound synthesis was studied. A computational implementation is presented together with graphic results and example sounds.

Keywords : Sound Synthesis; Frac wave; Non-Linear Dynamic Syste.
