This present article aims to contribute to the emancipatory perspective of Social Work, discussing the use of the techniques of artistic and cultural manifestations, as a possibility of enriching the instrumentality of the profession, the apprehension and resolution of the demands made by Social Movements. Thus, we carried out a brief reflection on the role of social movements nowadays, followed by a discussion of the ontological bases in Lucaks and the foundations of aesthetics. Finally, we discuss how each technique of the artistic and cultural manifestations - dance, theater, music, etc.. - can provide support for the Social Service collaboration in the strengthening of Social Movements.
