The study carried out by the Social Work of the Employee Life Quality Committee and the Federal Civil Servants Health Care Integrated Subsystem Unit (SIASS) of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) brings reflections on health social investigation and, among other specificities, it points it as the process of uncovering the social issue in order to provide access to public rights, among other subjects, instead of the strictly subsidiary role of supporting the official health investigation. The study rose from a Social Investigation course that took part in the Alagoas SIASS Units of Interdisciplinary Training Project.
