This article approaches thepractical experience of the social worker, inserted in in workers' health car program in a federal institution as part of a multidisciplinary team in implementing periodic health examination for government employees. Since the action of the social worker is peculiar in the healthcare field, with its intervention permeating the needs determined by historical conjuncture, in this sense, the participation in this activity is presented as another viable front of professional action, provided that the National Policy on Occupational Health and the Ethical-political professional project is guaranteed as parameter.
