The present work deals with a brief reflection of the term sustainability in scientific and academic literature in society today as a whole. From this study we seek to establish a connection between sustainability and workers' health considering the social, economic, geographical, environmental and political variables. It refers to the aspects of law, legal guarantees and obligations of the State in providing a life with dignity and social inclusion, particularly, the rural workers that for a long time were destitute. It is concluded that sustainability must be taken into account in full aspects, however this is not enough, a monitoring and complaints of unsustainability must be generated on behalf of the whole society, to put an end to inequalities and establish conditions for a job that values and respects the human beings.

Keywords : sustainability; health-rural; social justice.
