This paper seeks to analyze the positions of Brazil and the differences that were highlighted in the Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), held in February 2010. Brazil participated in the meeting as an observer (Enhanced Engagement Country) and expressed relevant disagreement with the agricultural policies of OECD members. The resumption of ministerial meetings of the OECD after twelve years, reflected the demand for expanding the forums of coordination regarding to concerns in adapting agricultural practices to the standards of sustainability and food security in addition to preserve economic growth and the agricultural sector.
