The streetball was inserted in Physical Education in a public school Jundiaí. Videos, lectures and experience the sport at the sound of rap were used in classes. This work proposes a reflection on the presence of hip hop culture at the school through streetball. The streetball contextualized in the hip hop movement recalls the idea of unity for a practice of a modality as well as open a discussion about the reality of young people living in the suburbs, and the possibility of resistance and demands for better living conditions. The perception of similarities between the streets where the streetball was created and the streets where the students involved in this work live, and the streetball thematization within the hip hop movement has increased the interest of students by modality and enabled discussions on cultural production the peripheries.
