This work began with the TCC submitted to the Brazilian Italo University Center, to obtain the title of Bachelor of Physical Education, under the guidance of Prof. Rose Maria de Souza and was expanded as part of the project Rappers, new messengers in the urban periphery of São Paulo: the aesthetic-musical challenge that emancipates and educates, coordinated by Prof. Dr Monica Amaral, FEUSP. Aims to address the UPS as a manifestation of Hip-Hop Culture, since there are still few studies that demonstrate the importance of it. The Break will be involved in rhythm, while bodily expression and musical, able to develop the individual consciousness, fluidity, autonomy and freedom of expression. The search for origins and foundations constitutes an important tool for the teacher to stimulate the individual (a) to experience the Body Culture Movement, linking it to the Physical Capacity. So, do you want to identify this "street culture" essential part of the activities of clubs, gyms, organizations and especially in schools. Thus the study presents an aesthetic and cultural bias, looking meet the needs of the students to know the basis on which formed the element Break. Both the element Break Hip Hop Culture as a way to allow redefinition of hip hop from the african-Brazilian culture, and allows the construction of the identity of the young, especially the residents of the periphery. Understanding their role in their community and the world is one of the most important consequences for the education of young hihopper.
