This work aims to observe the relationship between the Sao Paulo Black youth and the American black music, where it works as a link between two people of the African diaspora. The comprehension of this phenomenon involves more than the study of simple cultural manifestations, but also presents some social and political aspects which influence in the formation of this group identity. In a dynamic that started early in the 1970's and extends till nowadays, the participation in the named "black parties" works as a link in the racial relations between Brazil and The United States of America. Observing this phenomenon involves researches about subjects as diaspora, and the creation of black people identity. As methodology I use the bibliographical research, through books, videos, sites and also observations through personal experiences.
